Opened in November 2003 this store is spread over four levels of air conditioned modern purpose designed premises. The front of the building in Forehill just down from the Market Square and 300 metres from the "Cathedral Car Park" off Broad Street, hides a tardis like building with an imposing glass atrium that links the four departments.

The move to Forehill from our former premises in Market Street, where we had been for 160 years, gave us the opportunity to update the facilities and presentation to meet the needs of our customers and improve access.

We offer delivery on the larger items and customers are able to park outside the store where we will bring their purchases to the car.

As the largest independent retailer in Ely we are pleased to have recently linked up with Home Hardware, a national buying group that offers access to a wide variety of quality suppliers who provide good value products at reasonable prices.

The Mill Road store is situated in the "Romsey" area of Cambridge, over the bridge from the town centre and near the Sainsbury's roundabout. It and its manager, Steven Wynn are an integral part of the Mill Road local community and feature regularly in their events. The store caters for the local community with a local emphasis which includes a large brewing section (www.younghomebrew.co.uk) and bird cage sections (www.gardman.co.uk).

Parking is available on street paking but we also have our own dedicated car park in Ross Street opposite the store.

We offer delivery on the larger items and customers are able to park outside the store where we will bring their purchases to the car.

The Cambridge store also has a well established contract business with colleges, letting agencies and the council decorating vouchers as we are one of only a few stores that provide a one-stop service for their requirements.
